How do I block a quote?

Ok, I can't seem to get "quoting" to work. What am I missing? I tried using the "Quote" button under the person's post but it didn't block it off in that colored box.

Thanks for the help!

I never get anything for quoting other than the indenting and the outlined container box. For fun I tried to get color. Here is the normal quote without any color blocking

To get the light cyan blocking I just selected the quoted text and hit the "select background color" button and chose a color. If you are referring to something different then I'm not sure what you mean.

The above is what you should see if you quote your message (I added spaces so you can see the "code" and not actually quote the message). When you click "quote" and you see the editor, don't you see it like this?

Testing - I just simply hit the "Quote" button below your post and typed this below everything.

Ok, so far so good. I tried this exact thing in another forum reply and there was none of the light colored box around the quote. I'll try it again on another reply later.

Thanks,
Garry

That’s all I ever get when I quote or see others quote a post.
