just the diffuser

Sad Sad, the magnetic tailcap would be a plus! Does the one of the v1 fits on the v2?

beside the color mismatch...

threads are identically

works on Titanium gray without problems

white not good (seems tail threads are conductive)

Almost ready to pull the trigger, but I’m wondering about the current draw. In Bilakos’s review of the previous (black) version, it appears as if the light draws around 2.6A at 4.1V, and I assume that the load from a full battery will be higher. I’ve got some protected Soshine 14500s that I bought some time ago which were never used, and the wrapper states they are rated for 2.7A. Can I use those batteries without tripping the protection circuit? Or has the output been reduced with this light (550lm instead of 650lm – not sure if that’s a mistake), so that it now draws a lower current?

I would imagine the protection is really only going to kick in for a direct short on these types of batteries. I would bet it will work fine if the size and everything else is acceptable.

Thanks Thumbs Up Never used 14500s before, so I wasn’t sure – I got these for a project that never materialised. Length is exactly 50mm including button, so I guess they should be fine.

EDIT: Just ordered the Panda Tool! Smile

I use the Soshines in my Tool AA’s (both original and 2.0) without issue.

Is the white tool anodized or painted?
