We don't have many neighbors because the homes in our housing development are spread out nicely.
One of our coolest neighbors is Bill, who is in his seventies.
He was friends with actor/daredevil Steve McQueen.
He is currently friends with Steve's son, Chad.
By the way, both Steve and Chad prefer Palm Desert to Los Angeles.
Chad lives right next to our housing development.
This morning, Chad gave Bill a ride in a 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Steve McQueen Edition!
It's a real fast car, as you can imagine, and they didn't make that many of that car.
Apparently Chad is a daredevil in his own right because they went from zero to about a hundred miles an hour is just a few seconds.
So, my family knows a guy that is friends with a celebrity family.
How sweet is that?
Also, today is my birthday.
I'm 43, and we went to Golden Corral.

UPDATE:
Steve McQueen's son, Chad McQueen, has moved to my housing development.
He actually doesn't live that far away from our house.
My family hasn't talked to him yet, but it's kinda cool to live near a celebrity.

Speaking of birthdays, today is my dad's birthday.
He was born in 1946, so he would be 74 years old today.
My dad passed away in early 2004.
He was a great man, and he was always nice to his family.
Actually, he was always nice to everyone, to be more accurate.

Happy birthday to him. A lot of good people were born in 1946. But alas, there were also some not so good people born that year too. I was born in ’46. My wife tells me I am one of the good ones. I trust she is correct.
