$2,500 Maglite?

There are several "SUPREME" Maglites that recently showed up on Ebay, including this one for $2,499 HERE. I would only expect a new-in-original-box 7D Maglite to go for this. As best I can figure, the logo has something to do with the cult clothing line? I can't find any history on this, and why it's so rare - or worth so much. Anyone know anything about this particular Maglite?

I had to ask the seller the specs on this light. We will see what he says. I bet I could replicate it and sell them for a lot less.

If someone pays 2500 for that, they need their head examined. The red one is 48 bucks on their website without the painted-on lettering. https://www.maglite.com/shop/flashlights/full-size-flashlights/maglite-6...

guessing it does not sell for over $50
it also says ‘best offer’
which can also mean it never sells

it also looks like that is some kind of designer brand / collaboration
prob just a sticker

I just want to see what he says. I wouldn’t buy it for $50.

Seems kinda funny, but for just $477 you can get the red 2D version with just "SUP" on it;

What I'm trying to understand - did Supreme make a special order from Maglite? And in what quantities? Were these genuenly produced at the Maglite factory? Or did Supreme customize these after purchase?

it looks like they just slapped a sticker on
though the factory may have made a special color or version

Supreme is a highly hyped street wear brand with lots of support and demand from youngster. They often do collaborations on different common household/everyday items, including zippos, toolboxes, band-aid and even a simple brick. Yes, a brick.

All of the collaborative items are simply custom batches with their red boxed logo printed on them and no matter what they make they always sell out. Depending on the quantity that are made there goes the exclusivity and price.

People who are wanting to buy that Maglite wouldn’t even bother to turn it on, they would just keep it as a collector piece.

The asking price of 2500 is obviously exaggerated since these items normally sell for up to $300. The retail price is way below that, probably around $100. Reselling is a common form of business for these items.

Here goes another maglite: https://www.grailed.com/listings/176302-supreme-maglite-xl50-led-light

Which all seems to bear out Al Bundy’s “Bigger Idiot” theory.

I have Supreme branded Nitecore LA10C. I guess they do some collaboration work with flashlight companies to make their own (Supreme) branded stuff.

What was the retail value of this light if you don’t mind me asking?

“If you have to ask a price for this light, then you can’t buy it.”

Translation to flashaholics:
“Not worth more at all.”

IMO, at that 2500$US price tag, they better include 6× 8000mAh NiMH cells with an 8 cell high quality charger, and an upgraded XHP50 LED drop in from ASAF.

That would make one dope light, but still not worth it.

I received this one as a gift, so i do not know whats the retail price. It can be found on the internet for as much as $130 but i think this is far from the real price that these were selling for.

So much for “trendy”. This is the first time I’m even hearing of “Supreme” anything.

I should invent my own “fashion line” just to screw with people. Flaming orange hoodies, teeshirts, belts, whatever, with “IMAGE KING” splattered across over it in a Banksy-style scrawl. Tell everyone it’s sooper-eleet, they can’t afford it, I only got it as swag when a friend went to see the Oscars and gave it to me.

Then again, probably 2wks later I’ll see it advertised/sold all over AX…
