This is a 21700 high current cell and it is not really from Sony anymore, Murata has bought the LiIon battery business from Sony.

The two batteries are very well matched, but at 30A they have problems with heat.

My thermosensor ran out of batteries and did not stop discharging of the A battery, instead the internal fuse in the battery blow.

Conclusion
This is a good battery and can easily deliver 20A, but at higher current it best to have a temperature cut-out.

Thanks HKJ. Cool

Looks pretty good but not quite as good as the Samsung 40T and the Molicel P42A. This is in regards to voltage sag. P42A has a little advantage w/ 200mAh additional capacity….40T and Sony21700VTC6A both w/ the RATED 4000mAh.

“Do not use outside of battery pack”

Hmmm…. Because what will happen otherwise?

Thanks again HKJ! I was hoping these would outperform the 40T’s. Not quite though. They look good though.

HKJ … Thank’s my friend …
Your help is unlimited …..

Molicel P42A = 4200mAh
Sony VTC6A = 4160mAh
Samt 40T = 4000mAh
Up to 3.0 – 3.3 Volts batteries have minimal differences.
The differences will be seen in a graph.
There are no differences in use.

They deliver a current of 25A without exceeding 80 ° C.
With 30A Samy had a 82 ° C rise in temperature.
The temperature of Molicel P42A was the same

There are samples of the VTC6A, which are exactly the same as the Samy 40T.

I believe that in the future we will see better batteries from this model in the market.

It’s not the first time Sony’s original batteries in the market … were lower than the next batches …..
