- head is coated, should be not coated
- it has strange marks, kind of dots

If you remove the coating, it may remove the dots.. otherwise, it may make for some interesting patina over time.

The button thing might just need some gentle pressure on the tall side to get the retaining ring seated.

Pretty sure the dots are from them putting it in that vacuum bag before the clear coat dried.

(which makes no sense because it’s coated anyways and wont patina)

Are those dots in the coating? Maybe it was handled before it dried.

Looks very likely to me. Since they don’t want the coating anyway, removing it should remove the dots.

@contactcr, did you ask for the copper bezel? I’m now afraid of getting one too. Ti or stainless would be much pretier.

Mine was one of the first to arrive. They sent me a new bezel and clarified everything on the site

At least I have titanium bezel now. Facepalm

really.. i give up believing that FF would improved their QA by now.. guess not… sad Facepalm looks like you got a factory test sample head or something that shouldnt reach the customer….

Sample size of 1 here, but the cu/ti light I received was basically perfect.

I originally received a copper colored bezel, but an email to FF had that corrected in short order.

I ordered 2x more of the special material E07s and in both cases, I was told about issues BEFORE shipping.

The brass one had one tint bin listed on the website, and they received a different bin from their supplier. Jacky emailed me with the news and ordered acceptable options for a resolution.

I also ordered an all copper version, and got an email today that they had issues on the last run and the result was not satisfactory. I was offered another version or a refund if I preferred. I’ve emailed him back and forth today until a resolution to my satisfaction was reached.

I understand some have had difficulties with these lights, but all my interactions and all the products I’ve received so far have been great.

Since I won’t be able to get a copper version after all, I’d be willing to part with it. How much are you thinking?

I sent my Copper E07 to the US facility over a month ago after it broke and I have not received any word of anything yet. I have tried emailing Jacky and have not heard back.

Now my Brass E07 is completely dead too.

What is going on with this? Is anyone having such a bad experience as me? Has anyone heard from Jacky recently?

This is completely unacceptable.

I just heard back from Jacky. I will be sending him a video of the Brass and hopefully he will be checking up on the status of my Copper E07. I will update as this is dealt with.

Interested in ti/cu, possibly two, depending on price.

I’m interested in a Ti/Cu if you are still providing a discount code. Thanks

Time for my first new flashlight since 2004! Have a pair of Elektro Lumen FT-3C’s and they are finally playing out & LEDs have moved so far at this point it was time to upgrade.

Ordered a Cu/Ti with Osram 15W KW CSLPM1.TG 6P & purple LED’s this morning. Have some Samsung 40T 21700’s for power already so it should be fun!

Saved $21.45usd with coupon code FFSALEBLF so I thought I would register & share how it goes.

Knowing the shipping from China would be extended with the coronavirus issues over there; I bought a copper E07 with KPL 5k ‘s and red LEDs and an E01 with an Osram from the USA store. (Bought a pair of Samsung 50e to run the E01).

That copper is gorgeous! 9/10 machining. It’s not perfect, but as someone with a lot of welding and some machinest work behind him it’s what I would expect and accept for the price. It’s too heavy for most pocket use, but what a show off! The light output for the size, wow. It does have a copper bezel.

Can’t decide on if I should accelerate the tarnishing of the copper or not.

The single Osram in the E01 is just fantastic. It’s my new pocket light. Looking forward to getting the Ti/Cu when it comes.

Jacky emailed me and let me know the Ti/Cu version just shipped; I didn’t ask foot an update & didn’t expect anything with the troubles China is having at the moment. It was a welcomed update.
In the mean time, I bought 4 aluminum sst-20 versions from the USA store to give to friends and family as gifts. The difference in the all copper abilities to heat soak & the lightness of the aluminum models is large!
