Need explanation for going serial vs parallel on a quad board

I configured my mcpcb in parallel because that’s what I’m familiar with. What’s the benefit of going serial? Is there any benefit going serial particularly on a single cell light?

Well, with a boost driver, you can get perfect regulation with a 2S/3S/4S LED setup.

I need more info. What host is it? What are your battery options?
You typically want to plan everything out in advance.

You have to run them parallel in a single cell light with out a boost driver. 2 leds in series needs around 6 volts, 4 needs 12 volts.
In parallel current divides voltage is the same for each one. Well if there vf is matched.

I built a quad fw3a, so single cell. Just not quite sure if configuring it as serial gave me more power or anything noteworthy.

Oh, then you are very limited. You have to use the stock 3 volt driver which means you have to wire the LEDs in parallel.
