Osram osconiq 7070 question

I’m wanting to be different and put the osconiq osram made for street lights in a flashlight does anyone know anything about them? I found an mcpcb in Europe to fit wanted to do a fet driver with it

It’s a 6 or 12 volt emitter, so you’d need a two or four cell Li-ion setup to run a FET driver, and it looks as if the forward voltage is fairly low for that range, so it would pull a lot of power. It’s not rated for a lot of power, so my prediction of the result is a smoke emitting diode.

It would probably work fine with a regulated driver, but it’s the size of an XHP70 and rated for a lot less power. The result is likely to be dim and floody.

Interesting, thanks. I’m not able to tell by looking at numbers what means high and low when talking about forward voltage, I figured there was a reason I haven’t heard nobody do this before, just easier going with xhp then
