I want a balance between flood and throw, high lumens, nice emitter and quality workmanship. I have $45 to spend. Throw me some lights, I hope I’m flooded with ideas (sorry)

Are you looking for a general EDC light? When you say throw, what sort of throw distance? I have mid range throwers like my Convoy C8+ and my Astrolux FT03…then long range like my BLF GT…but the one I reach for quite often is my Sofirn SP31 v2.0. It has decent throw yet not so focused that I can’t use it on walks or around camp. In my apartment complex, it can pretty much throw enough that I can see the entire parking lot (only about 100 yards though) so it works for me.

Try Astrolux MF01 mini. It should be aroud that price now. You need to get a bit lucky, there is a bit of quality incontinuity, but they are generally great.
Quality workmanship is not the first thing i am thinking about when someone says Astrolux.
In general, they are ok, but for true workmanship you have to enlarge your budget and choose another brand/manufacturer.
You are right. But in his price range, astrolux is one of the highest quality he can get. Plus the price/performance ratio is very good. If he doubled the budget I would have much better sugestions :D.
If I wanted to treat myself to something a bit more ‘special’ than what I’d usually afford, I’d be looking at Reylight and RovyVon.

New Astrolux EC01 is the best for it price. Anduril+very good quality+USB-C+21700+good thermal capacity and it is compact.
