Which Magled’s do you guys fancy more? I have a 3d and an unopened 2d. The 3d gives a very good throw, is huge in size and rated for some good length of time. While 2d has a better size, the runtimes seems to be much shorter. Do you guys still prefer to use a stock 2d or do you use it only as a modification host?

I think this'll be the older Rebel version, as long as it isn't a v1 luxeon it's a good deal. Sports-Direct had the rebel ones in for £15 a while back but they put them back up to £30 before I took the plunge.

They both appear to be out of stock however.

Is the Rebel version really the older? They seem to have lowered the output but enhanced the runtime in the Rebel version.

Sorry, I think I worded it awkwardly. I mean the older rebel version as opposed to the latest XP-E which I have yet to see anywhere in the UK. The luxeon is older still, and I would consider this a good buy if it were the XP-E or the rebel but not the even older v1 luxeon, which from all reports I've heard, was pretty rubbish.
