Well after all the talk about a BLF build I will try to start one on my own with help from any BLF members that have done mods.

I have a UltraFire 501B so that is the light of choice along with a 3.7V 18650 battery.

I have the light apart and trying to come up with a LED emitter and driver and empty drop-in module. I would like to keep the single mode which came with it to compare to my upgrade.

Looking for a 3 mode driver with High/Medium/Low and an Orange Peal reflector.

Garry Bunk came up with some options for all these parts but most are from Deal Extreme which would mean a long wait time for parts and if one part was wrong or you needed another part your time frame would be from 4 to 12 weeks.

So I would like to find US dealers for the above parts if anyone would know of any please let me know.

I have tools and some skill sets that will help me complete this mod but I think most people would be able to follow and also join along in this project.

Old is spot on, exactly where I would buy it from. Parts in 2-3 days in stead of 6 weeks.

Any idea on a upgrade for the tail cap switch????????

Search for "McClicky" for your P60 switch upgrades.

Netkids used to make one, some vendors may have stock.

Alternately, Solarforce's newest switches are rated for 3A.

Illuminatoin Supply or Shiningbeam should have the McClicky as well.

Thanks, I did see the McClickey but had already placed the order at Illuminatoin Supply so it will have to wait for the next order which may not be very soon. And I did get a email from Craig with a tracking number and that it would be in the mail tomorrow so he looks like a good supplier to order from.

With the Giants making it to the Super Bowl my wife said she needs a new Eli Manning Super Bowl jersey because this year they will be the away team and will wear the white jersey and the Eli jersey from the last Super Bowl is blue because they were the home team and it would be unlucky to wear the old jersey. And it's only $89.99.....................

Hmm. . . I never noticed Illumination Supply had the empty P60 drop-ins. Good to know. I did order a 1.4A Nanjg driver from I.S. and was very pleased with the service and quick delivery (3 days all the way across the US).

Hehe...me too. That's why we've been together for the better part of 14 years.

I got married in 1978

My son raced karts for 10 years and one year we were at the track 23 weekends

He worked as a race engineer for another 10 years so we got alot of "Back Stage Pass's"

So I have to do anything my wife wants as fast as I can:-)
