BLF X6 driver not working properly

Hey guys.
I bought 2 X6 drivers from AliExpress and one of them is not working as it should.
First three modes are absolutely the same intensity.(very low)
I can’t get to config mode.
Battcheck mode doesn’t blink the battery state, it is only lighting in very low intensity and doesn’t blink at all.
I think it could be a bad 7135 regulator but I don’t know how to confirm it. I have a spare 7135 but i want to be sure it is it before i try to replace it.
Is it a way, how to check it?
Or could there be another problem?
Thank for your advices.

Honestly my first guess would be badly configured or corrupt firmware.
You could go probing around and feed vcc to the gate of the fet, and the control pin of the 7135 to confirm that they’re operational, and if so, then either replace the microcontroller with one that’s flashed, or reflash the current one - It’s a fairly straightforward process.

Thanks for the advice. I thought it would be a 7135 because all problems it have depends (I think) on low levels which presumably should go through it isn’t it right?
So if connect let’s say 3V at 7135 control it should “open”? Don’t know how it works precisely.

Yeah, basically just tie the VDD pin to the positive rail, and it should power the LED. Here’s a link to the datasheet.

The fact that you’re getting dim light but not the appropriate blinks suggests a deeper issue than the 7135 - If it was just the 7135 I’d expect the low modes to not work at all while the high modes would work, and the batt-check to not light up at all.
Vice versa if the 7135 is good and the fet is stuck open-circuit - Low modes and battcheck would be fine but the high modes would be funky.
If the fet were stuck shorted (Fets often fail short) you’d just get turbo all the time.
