FW21 - How to tell production date?

Hi all

I’ve made an order for an FW21 via FastTech. I’ve asked them if they could try and source a unit that is recently produced due to the issue I read about with early units and flat top 21700 batteries. They have said they will send a photo of the item before shipping but is there an easy way to tell?

Or are these production problems long gone and not worth worrying about?

I’m curious how this worked out for you? I placed an order with fasttech last week and haven’t been able to find out anything, figured it’s just a gamble on my part for now.

Not sure of the production date. Left fits both right protected batteries only.
