I realize all my 10440 are quite a few years old, and some are even xxxxFire… I use them on my Lumintop Tools, Ants, Ultratac K18s and a couple others… I’d be happy to renew a few but i’ve no idea where 10440 currently are.
I wouldn’t recommend efest black wrap 10440, I used them in an Acebeam UC15 and they step out of turbo very fast showing low voltage. Or maybe they were old stock…
Thanks for all the suggestions. The Vapcell looks to be the best so far.
However, i’m having a hard time to source most of them. Either they are way overpriced, or out of stock or shipping from the US kills the deal… Same as a few years back. Good 10440 are still hard to find. I’ve sent a few messages to vape shops and Nkon.nl. I’ll see what comes back.
I’ve seen the Acebeam 10440 at Nkon… That’s what i call overpriced, and i’ve no idea what’s under the wrap. Arjan says they are good… they ought to, but i’ll pass. No plans for him to stock up on others.
Here’s where i am so far:
Ordered a few Efest from a french vape shop - very good price, and reasonable shipping fee:
I received the Efests last week and just got the Vapcells, so i decided to do a quick ceiling bounce test with 3 lights and one of each 10440 i have.
As a side note i realized the Tool Ti and Ant do not support 10440 as i thought they did. Glad i did not fry any while trying. So i’m down to Ultratac K18, Copper Tool Nichia and Reylight Pineapple Mini Nichia. Here are the readings on my luxmeter:

I tested the lights with the same batteries and redid a test with the K18 after that.
Frankly i’m a bit disappointed… I was expecting the Vapcells and Efests to make a difference but they don’t do better then my old Ultrafire blue. Maybe those lights don’t really pull that much current. The protected Trustfire did not flip out either. I guess i would need some real DD light to test further.
My firsts 10440 were xxxfire cells. They died in a few months. I used about 6x 10440 ultrafire… Trustfire etc….
Since using efest… I have forgotten when I purchased them… I think it was 2014 or even before (I guess about 2012)… and the still going pretty strong in capacity and current output.
Edit: yes… If the lights dont pull much current… Not much difference will be seen.
