Hello Guys,
I was searching for a nice red thrower Led for a crazy build on my pistol light, and then I found one, bought it and got in the mailbox today;
My light has a buck driver and originally came with a 3V led but with the help of the buddies from the forum we found that it performs better at 6V, so I changed to a xhp50.2. (this is my old topic of this light BUDGET PISTOL LIGHT MODDING).
After that I bought another identical light which I wanted to make a red thrower, so I thought this led would be perfect because I could connect the dies in series and then run it at 6V;
But then, for my surprise I received the led on a PCB with 8 soldering spots and now I’m very confused since its got 2 dies only, so I was expecting 2positive and 2negative spots;
Probably a very newbie question but can you help me figure out how to connect the dies in series?
I tried to use a stripped wire in each side to join the positives in one side and the same in the other with the negatives and plug directly to a 3v 16340 weak battery but nothing happened except for a spark in the battery ,which I hope it was nothing bad.

Thanks in advance for the help!
