I believe Canada is a great ally of the country that I live in, the U.S.
If it weren't so cold up there, I would very much like to live in Canada.
(I can live with intense heat, but I am not a fan of cold weather.)
I am from Manitoba. I spent most of the first 39 years of my life there. Winter was too long and too cold. It still is too long and too cold. Many of the school and work friends I am still in contact with spend weeks and months in warmer places like AZ, Mexico, Dominican Republic or on the west coast in BC. I love my Canadian friends visiting in spring thru fall.

Kinda off-topic, but I hope no one in our neighborhood shoots off any fireworks for the Fourth of July.
The dog doesn't like it, it's illegal in our county this year, and it's a fire hazard.
People often call cats "scaredy-cats".
We kinda have a scaredy-dog.
It doesn't take much to scare him, but he's usually a very good dog, so we still love him.
