New Fenix E01 V2.0 AAA Flashlight

The new Fenix E01 V2.0 AAA Flashlight is now available. Notably it has three output levels (5, 25, and 100 lm) instead of one, therefore resembling their E05 rather than the original E01.

Anyone going to get one?

Cute, but probably not. I’m already ass-deep in AA and AAA lights, so…

G2? Hope it’s got a TIR lens and not reflector for 15bux…

I’ll pass.

That 5 lumen low is not bright enough to be of any use, and too bright to be a tolerable moonlight.

Also there’s no mention of emitter color temperature, and Fenix tends to favour cool. I have one of the original E01’s and it’s alright in a pinch, but its icy blue beam is almost painful to look at.

I have several ‘old’ Fenix and the build quality is impeccable - I’ve upgraded the drivers and emitters twice already - but they really need to get on the modern emitter and UI bandwagon. This ‘new’ E01 is now being introduced literally years after Mankers superior (lower low and 219b emitter) E01 has already come and gone.

We’re already in an era where we can buy twice as nice for half as much, and Fenix is rapidly becoming Maglite v.2.0……solid, reliable, and sadly trying to catch up.

Ok Fenix this look huge for a AAA light.
Just get the Ti3 on going giveaway for less than $6. Or the next Olight i1R 2 giveaway up coming

Or the Skilhunt E3A, if you don’t mind a 1-mode 100lm light.

’351 under the hood, pebbled(!) TIR lens for an absolutely beautiful shift-free beam, the slate-blue HA3 is 11bux and the red/blue/black (HA2?) are 10bux, all on Amazon.

I reviewed one, just got 2 more of the same today (less’n an hour ago, in fact). It’s rare that I’m impressed by an AAA light, and as much as I like the Ti3 for 6bux, for only a few bux more, you really can’t go wrong with the E3A.

But again, keep in mind it’s a 1-mode light. For some people that’d be a dealbreaker.

I thought about it, as I still have my new subscriber discount to spend - but I think I’ll pass for now, because I just picked up a few of the neutral white Thrunite AAA lights on sale, and a Maratac AA lantern-strobe.

its using a CREE XP-G2 …. wow pass…… also 100 lumens max is a bit low even for aaa light…

I bought a blue one, mostly because I have a similarly colored Mustang and the light matches my fob.

It’s OK. About half as bright as modern standards but the beam is not horrible and the thing is surprisingly pleasing.
