Lumbar pillow appreciation thread

I haven't been using a lumbar pillow for very long, but it helps me out a lot.

My back pain that I have had for decades has mostly disappeared since I started using it.

This is the one I like the most right now...

I like it so much, that I bought a second one for my office chair in my bedroom.

If you use a lumbar pillow, this is the thread for you.

Post a pic or link if you'd like.

...

I'd also like to thank BLF member G0OSE for recommending a lumbar pillow to me.

My mom likes the really small lumbar pillows, but as you can see, I like the gigantic ones.

No worries, I am glad it helped you out RC. :+1:

Been using lumbar pillows for years. They can help immensely. Some of the smaller inflate/self-inflate can be very useful for traveling (Planes - absolutely shitty seats. They’ve made millions of them. Why not design a decent one?).

The newer cars with the headrest canted forward for cervical support in a rear end crash are awful for folks like me. Personally I think they may contribute more to chronic neck pain than they save in acute neck pain. A lumbar support like you have pushes you forward and help minimize that problem.

Thrift stores are a good place to pick up cheap small pillows for dragging around and forgetting it in other people’s car and such. I won’t even go to a movie without one.

Yep, that's where my mom gets hers, and she takes them everywhere.

If you can, a rowing machine took away all my back pains after about 2 months into it. Glucosamine and Centrum Silver helps with the rest.

My family has taken Glucosamine in the past.

I currently take Walmart's answer to Centrum Silver even though I'm only 44 years old.

I don't think multivitamins do very much, but they're cheap and easy and might help a little.

Heat pad helps me on cold nights You can plug it in 12V plug.

I think Vitamins are overrated , I like to drink bone broth,

Been hooked on Centrum Silver since I power lifted in High school. Our coach kept saying “Got to have the material to build the body.” We also did GOMAD, gallon of milk a day. Most shouldn’t unless the body lets you. My Vet did his thesis on Glucosamine with dogs and found at saturation level the benefits kicked in. I take one with each meal and one when I get up and go to bed. I feel all those rice crispies go away in about 4 weeks. Not all bodies respond equally.

Lumbar to the rescue.
used to drive +60K a year.
since i am “cheap”, this is what i used:

you can find them for $1 at thrift stores.

I’m using one of these memory foam back support cushion myself.

Ever since I sprained by back last year lifting a washing machine, I just couldn’t sit for long unless my back is well supported.

This is what i keep on my office chair, works good
