I have a Olight M3X that throws great. I'm thinking I might want a single battery 18650 light that throws really good. My question is, are there any single 18650 lights that come close to the throw of my M3X? I'm not looking for a light with an aspheric zoom lens. I'm looking for a light that will throw without me having to modify it.
In budget segment you will probably need to modify any single one you get if you want a "high dollar" comaprable flashlight.
I saw some beamshots of the M3X and i can assume it is totally doable with one like this. However i would go and get a best findable emitter for it and dirve it at more than 1A probably and making sure the heatsinking is inspected and made the best possible. Would also get a coated lens as it would make sense in such light.
In stock form it is not bad but it can be improved if you wish to fiddle with rather easily. (oh if you get this one, buy a normal switcxh to replace the stock one as it is resistor based 2 mode which is rather cheezy)
I however suspect the cheap one will have a little tighter baeam. It's a pencil beam thrower.
