Deal extreme question

I ordered two items from them the 16th and on the 18th got a items shipped notice. I went to track the order and they say that the order number AND e-mail do not exist. Is this normal? Any advice would be appreciated . BTW, I went through their live chat and it said not working and to contact cus service. Nothing there either. They say they received payment and i also got paypal receipt. Anyone guide me as what to do and how long i should wait before making a claim with paypal? Thanks

Deal extreme can be a gong show of delays and other poor business practices. And then when you have a legitimate question/complaint the forum mods are rude about it.

Sometimes DX can show the package has been sent but the post office tracking won't show it for a few days.

When you say they, are you referring here to DX or Hong Kong post where you enter your package tracking number? If you mean the post, it's likely because over the weekend the package isn't even being tracked by them yet.

If you mean DX doesn't even show that you've placed an order in your account, then you've got a problem that you need to contact customer service about. Your order certainly should show in your DX account listing.


I am having the same problem! I made my first order on Saturday. But every time I go to long in and check, it says I have no orders!

Did you checked under the "Experience our new account management (beta). new" button (in My account") as well? All the new orders are showing up in there.

Thanks. Its on the DX site. It won"i even let me log in.it says my e-mail/user name does not exist. This is why I like to order state side. If they do me dirty I will never go there again. Also, I ordered on the 16th and on the 18th received a shipped notice which I saved. Now it is GONE!!! Checked trash bin and not there. Whats up with that?

@ 3/8/2012 I ordered a few flashlights and some batteries&charger and my order shows normali in their old sistem and NOT @ dx.com!!!

..if you want to avoid going

1) DON'T: order anything expensive. Stress goes up exponentially with price.
2) DON'T: expect anything whatsoever in the way of CS, email response, 'chat', or any of the other luxuries you get from, say, Amazon.
3) DON'T: expect your purchase to arrive inside of 2 months. (Better still, don't 'expect' your purchase to arrive at all.)
4) DO: Order it and forget about it. Then one day, probably after you've even forgotten what you ordered, your package will arrive out the blue. Usually. With luck it will even be what you ordered .

These have become my golden rules now when ordering from any Chinese website, not just DX. I recently ordered a $5 lighter from them. No idea when/if it'll get here, but I do know that I shan't care two hoots either way. Yes it's a cr@p way of doing business, but since I finally accepted the way things work over there I'm a whole lot happier. Not preaching or being smug, just trying to help because I remember so clearly how frustrated I used to get. Not nice, and never again.



I have a couple orders with DX right now, both got delayed by the "restructuring" that is going on there. The stuff I ordered in late February just cleared US customs in NY and is inbound to me.

Just FYI once orders get stateside (for those in the USA) you can sometimes get extra info about the shipment by entering the Honk Kong post tracking # in the USPS tracking website.

(Pretty sure most people know this but just thought I'd chime in.

Both my orders "existed" in their system though.

If I get a charge on my credit card and no reciept of order e-mail, I cancel payment.

That goes for ANY business that I conduct via the interwebz though.

Here's hoping that you all get your stuff in a timely manner =)

yeah, i notice they have this new checkout thing going on. I go through paypal express and I made 2 order tickets recently. so far, one ticket has been shipped out already and is on the way. Im still waiting on the other ticket. Im not gonna buy anything until i get my items.

Looks like whenever i check my paypal acct., i don't get to see the purchases on the acct. only that i just sent money to them for ?? items. i was worried at first...
