Favorite P60 Frankenstein LEGO

So what's your favorite combination of P60 components to make your Frankenstein P60 flashlight? Your single favorite combo. If you don't have enough to lego then simply post a photo of a P60 light you own that you think looks the best.

This is mine:

L2T head

Stainless steel bezel

L2X body tube

L2P reverse clicky switch

For me this just works. It's effective yet still simple and elegant.

A few months ago I ordered a new matte black L2P with the S7 tactical switch because I wanted momentary on capability. The switch is so stiff that it gave me hand cramps.

So I ordered a new L2 switch. Imagine my suprise when it arrived with high gloss black finish and looks terrible on the matte finish flashlight.

Then I ordered this DX aftermarket switch for Surefire and Solarforce. The finish is a pretty good match for the matte black L2P and it works just fine. Cost is $3.50 USD.

Surefire G2 battery tube - Solarforce L2 head - Solarforce B5 SS bezel - Solarforce S4 tailcap - vinhnguyen54 XPE dropin - AW 17670 battery

You should try the Solarforce S10 tailcap.

Ultrafire C1 body, Solarforce L2 head, Modified Solarforce S7 tailcap, ring on body replaced with a Grommet for a better cigar grip.

This is my most Frankenstein-y since its all the parts came separately and I've modified each of those parts. I begrudgingly refer to it as the MiniTrip:

Head: Reshaped/polished Fivemega finned monstrosity as can be seen in its original form here. The lens opening is so small I knew once I got it that it would eventually get used on a triple 20mm optic. Its one redeeming quality is that it is shorter than a typical Surefire/Solarforce head.

Tail: Solarforce S7 with McClicky. Not a budget mod, but I already had it on hand and it is short. (see the trend here?) :)

Body: L2M with threads that have been shortened to minimize gap caused by using the S7.

Light Engine: Triple neutral XP-G with a NANJG 105C driver and a wide optic (40 degree I think). Very similar to dorpmuller's recipe... only shorter. :p

Battery: Bestinone.net IMR 18350

The funny thing is...I don't like it at all. Its too short, fat , and heavy. At 2.8A, it gets hot fast too. I'll probably swap out the L2m body and move everything else to an L2.

It's still pretty darn cool though. Eventually, I'd like to get into mods like this. Something to tinker around with and be able to use existing components.

2 years and still not done!
