BLF J4

Ultrafire C3 R5

Ultrafire U20

I think that's it for what I'm waiting for. All 3 are from Manafont.

Edit: Well I forgot one, the TR-801 from eBay. Maybe some time soon?

Though going by the 33 days in the mail for the U-20 it might take a while.

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

The dog was going nuts, turned out the postman was at the door.

33 days from Hong Kong isn't too good. It seems that at least at present tracking speeds things up.

So my Ultrafire U20 is here. It is a fraction brighter than the Trustfire R5-A3 on 14500 and a little less on NiMH. Throw is respectable too.

The beam is odd. I can distinguish seven separate bands in the beam. Here's the ceiling beamshot.

Here are the preliminary numbers - the light just arrived here 30 minutes ago.

Lightbox Lightbox Lightbox Est. lumens Est. lumens Est. lumens Throw
Light Battery Immediate 30 seconds 2 Minutes switch-on 30 secs 2 Minutes Lux at 1m
Ultrafire U20 14500 1647 1575 1534 295 283 275 7000
Ultrafire U20 AA NiMH 575 618 608 103 111 109 2540

U-20 on the left, R5-A3 on right. The U-20 is brighter than the R5-A3 but the R5 has the better beam. The U-20 throws better. The Trustfire's beam is wider.

The U-20 is on the left, the R5-A3 on the right

Shot is at 60cm from the ceiling.

Ceiling beamshot

Not yet played with the modes. There's no bezel switching.

Got a used titanium iTP A3 EOS last week and I'm waiting on a warm white Black Cat AAA from KD and a black Mr.Lite BLF AA Y4E. I've been holding off on getting any more Solarforce hosts, but there have been some really tempting deals.
