I bought a 26650 and could find little information on the cell type.
If I would have know I would never have purchased a 18650 light.
So, it would useful to others and help the 26650 users grow.
The 26650 cells lights are relatively new. Major manufacturers still don't make any 26650 flashlights. Introducing 26650 on large scale would have some issues of business nature (CPF dealers, heavily controlled American market). Then there's not so many 26650 cells on the market.
+1 I really like the 26650 format,
I'm waiting for my Stone White Shadow Pro from intl-outdoor! I can't wait to see how this compares to my KD C8. There's not much choice out there for lights or batteries of this format. I'm not sure a separate subforum makes sense at this time. Now a KNIFE forum would make more sense.
Doesn't matter much to me, I just read front 2 pages of recent posts.
But I'm not sure how a knife sub-forum on a flashlight forum makes more sense than the most talked about new form/power factor in flashlights...
I think, and hope they'll become much more popular. IMO the cell (size and potential) is better than 18650 for everything but EDC. In other words, if it any bigger than the smaller 18650s, might as well use it.

I actually don't require any sub-forum beyond "LED flashlights" (yes, similar to CPF) because I ALWAYS start on the front page each visit. The sub-forums might be good for new members or those who haven't been to the forum in a while and have some catching up to do, but for me they're not necessary.
I don't think there's enough 26650 lights to warrant an entire section of their own. Not at this point, at least. We do have the 26650 thread. Is it that you didn't know there were li-on cells that big? What information are looking for?
