Magnet control CREE XM-L T6 1x18650 Super Power Flashlight

Hi folks...I was poking around CNQualityGoods today and saw a cool looking 1x18650. It has the typical tail-cap switch, but modes are changed by turning a magnetic control ring. I was wondering if anyone has purchased this and could chime in and give us your impressions. Thanks.

I think it looks pretty nice too. I asked Ric about them a few days ago and this was his response:

For 18650 magnet control flashlight, it can work with 1x18650/2x16340/2xCR123.
With 2xCR123 the current is 2.5A 1.5hrs runtime
With 18650 the current is 1.8A 2hrs runtime
We just have two samples in stock. Big batch will come back around 20th this month.

Not super driven but nice looking for sure and I love magnetic ring lights even if output is stepped and not infinite. You can leave it on a setting and use a forward clickie for signalling just like a single mode light. It's the best of both worlds.

The real potential deal killer for me is the 25% low. WAY too bright to be worth a pinch o' poo.

Hi Johnny...I may still go for this one. I ordered Ric's 2x18650 Aluminum & Stainless Steel CREE that I received today. On HIGH mode, the tail readings were only .78a, but it was still nice and bright. So I'm sure this other torch with the larger reflector should still do a nice job lighting things up, in spite of only being driven at 1.8a on HIGH. Thanks for the information.

Very much looking forward to what you think of it, Richie. 8)

Looks a bit like the Jetbeam RRT-1.

Ring control is really nice. It's always a joy to use my JB RRT-1, Xtar S1, SWM V10A, V60C, M20C.

Yeah, I thought Ric's product looked very familar, but I just couldn't place it. Thanks 2100.
