For a long time we search for aspherical lens for C8, as C8 being as a popular model. Dealextreme has this light arrived, from its outer head diameter it is exactly the C8 format (abour 45mm), but the lens seems a bit smaller than an usual C8 reflector size. Curious about its performance, really!
These one is even better.

XM-L, 18650/26650 battery.
I guess it is around 38-40mm lens, so it should throw quite well.
If it came with the charger, it would be a good light to make some presents..
It's the Shadow JM05 clone and Kajman has it. Maybe he knows if it's really a regulated current.
If not, you simply change driver(KD 8x7135V2 3040mA)
Im confused. The first post is about a Q5 emitter flood to throw light.
The "even better" response is an XM-L fixed focus light with 26650. It really has nothing at all to do with the Q5 flood2throw whatsoever.
And then everyone follows up talking about the XM-L light! Its kind of uncool to hijack a post like that.
i was confused, too. hijacking is kind of a regular thing around here though
as for the OP - DX can stuff it, and I like this one better (no charging hole)
Cheers guys
I noticed that too. Just cannot be sure which one has a bigger lens.
I'm willing to bet they're the exact same lens...
I think the choice comes down to aethetics - unless we get more facts from someone w/ a copy of the c81.
the current chicago-x and I measured w/ our c10 zoomies would be great for an xpg, but imo it is a little too much for the xre (~1.7A)
The DX light doesn’t have mode memory and does have 5 modes including to blinky modes. The Smallsun looks better IMO and does have mode memory so that makes it the best choice in my book.
The last zoom light I bought from DX that had one of those charging ports also didn’t have nearly as good a beam and the Smallsun.
