Ahh, the 80's. Possibly the manliest of decades.

Manly?

You decide. I wet myself.

So it was a good thing they drinking and drugs then...................................................

Thank God :-)

Is there any other reason for the outfits?

I shudder to think...

but I suppose you've gotta be a confident man to dance around in them, on camera

Those poor guys, that's on the internet forever.

Perhaps not manliest but I'm afraid it was the last truly "free life" decade for many people. Drugs and alcohol were big part of it but now it's even worse. Many wonderful things were byproduct their use and many great people died because of it, but they were truly alive, happy and free ! Common people felt they have a power and can change something. Hope was in the air... They ruined it with purposely made diseases, war, terrorism to make us afraid as fear is the best way to control people.

Nice. I remember seeing that movie as a kid, and realizing how bad it was, even at that age; the 1950 Merc with nitrous was probably the best actor in the entire movie. :)

It was a star-vehicle for his then-paramour, Brigitte Nielsen. Thank goodness she finally found love with Flava Flav.

There were some nice Gil Hibben custom knives in Cobra. I'm guessing that Stallone enjoyed the eponymous Rambo knives that Hibben crafted for him in that earlier film.

that merc could be the star in a lot of movies, including many that were better than 'cobra' :)

that might be one of the most universally appealing (hot rod looking) vintage cars (chopped, of course)

Hated the 80's... too many self-centered yuppies, I had gotten divorced, and spent a good part of it in my addiction. (alcohol) Suprised I lived through that time, and, besides, there was no Internet!!
