PayPal question

Quick PayPal question…what is the “must act” period? With Chinese lights it’s not uncommon to not receive something for more than a month.
Is the PayPal must act period 30 days and is that 30 days from when you order, when it’s shipped or how does that work?
Thanks.

45 days from the date of the order to file a "dispute" Then they will have a couple of weeks to work with you to resolve the problem (or for the item to show up). At the end of that period you can escalate to a "claim" to get your money back.

Before the 45 days, you have to make a good faith effort to work things out with the seller. Give them a few days in case they offer a refund and need a couple of days to file it before the dispute deadline.

Not sure exactly how they count the days, so don't wait past 44 days.

I believe it is 45 days to file a dispute from when you paid. One of the reason options is 'did not receive goods'. You then have 20 days to negotiate with seller and at that point you can file a claim for reimbursement if it is not resolved.

Edit: brted beat me to it.

45 days counting from the date you paid.

calm down, paypal will protect the rights of customer

Yet another helpful post.

did he sound agitated? he just asked a question. fyi, telling someone to calm down is pretty close to saying gfy.

since you like telling people what to do, here's a taste. kindly take the SPAM out of your signature.

sunday is Candy from Focalprice. i dont see anything wrong with her signature :)

She probably uses an online translator. So...

What’s wrong is that the only reason for her posts is so that Focalprice shows up. That’s spam.
Telling someone to calm down who isn’t upset is annoying and stating that PayPal stands by their customers adds nothing either.
Therefore the only reason for her post was to spam. Read most of her posts. There is no point to most of them other than to have the signature line appear…spam.

I'm sorry... I couldn't help it. Now I can't stop laughing.

I Like spam with mayo, but I don’t think I’d like mayo on sunday.

I have filed before 45 days, but the results took the same length of time, so 45 is probably right and paypal seems to take care of things here lately. Before ebay took them over, I got shafted more than once, but since then, it's always been full refund.

I just use my cc now, don't have to wait 45 days and always get the money back. You might try that, it's less waiting time if there's a problem.

I have this book, it is quite soothing.

Although I tend to agree with you on this point, gcbryan, you could say the same thing about what I write most of the time.

@sunday

please try "more helpful" posts otherwise some would think of your comments as spam (because your main function on BLF is being a seller and representing your employer).

i dont agree but i do get the point of my advice lol.

alleged spammer or not, personally i treat females more like ..

Sunday probably meant "don't worry" but it was typed/translated as "calm down".
