Can anyone ID this driver? Its multi mode, H-M-L-Disco-SOS, pulls 4A from a Panasonic CGR18650E feeding a single XML.
Would I stand to gain anything in terms of efficiency or regulation if I upgraded to an 8x7135?
thanks!!

It's a typical Direct Drive (i.e. unregulated) board with mode controller (modes via PWM).
Using an 8*AMC7135 will regulate to 2.8A (or 3A, depending on version), thus lower output a bit, but increase efficiency and runtime, also offer different mode config.
OK great thanks Dr, really appreciate the feedback.
I think I'll just leave it direct drive then. That way I can taylor the lights output / performance depending on which cell I use.
It must have a really high PWM, I'm waving this light all over the place and I can not see any flicker at all. Even the running water test looks smooth as my incans.
thanks, I like this driver.
