Romisen RC - R5 - Clone ??

Firstly as a two day old member I would just like to say a warm hello to everyone. This is by far one of the friendliest forums I've ever been on.

Question: Sorry if this has been covered a zillion times before, if so just ignore and point me in the right direction.

I have my eye on a Romisen RC-R5 and have found numerous cheap offerings on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CREE-XPG-XP-G-R5-LED-Flashlight-Torch-AA-14500-RCR5-/150786171062?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item231b8e60b6 . Yer I kinda figure these are cheap clones and the lumes vastly exaggerated. Have any of you guys had any experience with these cheaper models ?. If any positives, a link to the seller would be appreciated.

I do believe you are our youngest member, but good news is you seem advanced beyond your years (er, days...).

That looks like a nice little light you linked to. Haven't seen it before but I imagine the lumens rating is way overstated considering it is an XP-G and only a AA/14500 powering it. I'd peg it around 200 lumens if you are lucky.

Does anybody know what size driver this rc-r5 takes?

I have one
This a good light with 14500 battery
Make noise in low mode
I dont like the UI, you slightly push to select mode and then fully push

Hey bbuu, would you mind opening it up to see if it takes a 17mm driver?
