fixing magnets to 26650 batteries

This is a bit of a dumb question but is there some type of expoxy or some thing like thermal paste/glue that can conduct electricity ? basicly im wanting to fix magnets to my 26650 batteries, i dont want them to come lose and touch the side of the battery tube and cause a short, but i dont want to add to much resistance, soldering magents to batteries is a bit hard, my spring idea was to long over the 3 batteries and i want some thing a little bit better then just a dab of solder to the positive end.

Why do you need to attach magnets?

silver conductive epoxy. Not sure if yo can get it in Aus

Because 99% of our 26650 batteries are flat tops, the positive button on the battery does not stick up higher then the side of the batteries so it makes it hard to use 2 or more the torches that use more then one battery like the TR-J12 and the Jm05

cheers mate ill have a look

Well i had a look Surprised

I now have 3 king kongs brand new looking for a new home in australia

My thought would be to simply stick the magnet where you wish it to be then just put a bead of JB Weld or similar epoxy around the edge of the magnet to anchor it to the battery. Nothing special needed and nothing to interfere with electrical conduction as I would hazard a guess that no conductive epoxy between the magnet and battery would be better than some conductive epoxy.

All this info is good to know as I ordered a couple of 26650's for my Old-Lumens custom maglite. I already have the magnets so we'll see what happens when the batteries arrive.

Im hopping soon, people who make, sell or supply these 26650 batteries will add another 1mm or so to the tops when they are dropping on the protection.....

But the part thats got me the most is why sell multi cell 26650 lights when all the batteries the same brand or suppliers sell will not work with out some form off mods, i know this budget light form but....

I have two orange cells that came from CNQG when I bought my Shadow JM05, the cells are unbranded, marked only 3.7V Li-ion 4000 mAh. No magnets required. The reason I asked.

I bought the light about September last year.

Im trying to make do with the batteries ive got for now, but i have some others comming i hope that will not need magnets but ill see when they get here

hmm .. thinks of plumbing washers seats some are pretty thin could drill out to snug the magnets

The magnets dont actualy move they are hard to get off the batteries and are small enought not to be able to slide over the lip/edge of the king kongs.
