...a customer who is looking to get a rubbery grip light (preferably name-brand), with...
1) strike bezel
2) tactical "momentary on" stitch
3) screw-on gun mount ring grip (as in the Fenixes)
4) regulation
5) ultra-low low
6) great brightness
7) rubbery grip holder (if possible)
8) pocketable (of course)
I can think of a few lights, but I told him I'd give him some budget, as well as name-brand options, too. Whatcha got?

thats a tall order, i cant think of anything that meets all that
but what do you mean by "screw-on gun mount ring grip...
and great brightness is a tough point to narrow down . maybe xml at 2A or 3A ?
So without the rubber grip id say a solarforce with a nanjg driver @ 2.8A might be good

The Quark Tacticals come to mind, albeit without strike bezel.
A custom programmed NANJG-drivered drop-in housed in a Solarforce L2P can accept the famous "Klingon" strike bezel, as well as a tape switch tailcap for gun use.
