Question where to buy rubber boots and switch 2-prong too?

Hi - I need to fix my P1A, the rubber boot is too tall so it wont tail-stand.

1-So I think Id like to try a shortened rubber boot. Where I can order a decent amount? Is there anything special I can look for in a rubber boot, or are they all pretty much generic in material and quality.

2-What is a good 2-prong tool to remove fit the switch cap internal divots?

Many thanks!

This works nice for removing pills: http://www.intl-outdoor.com/stainless-steel-straight-tweezers-p-297.html

I just ordered a pair, but I have some from American Science & Surplus that cost me $1.99. Harbor Freight in the U.S. might have some as well, but I'm not sure they have those up in the North Country. Can you tell the size of the boot you are looking to replace? IOS also has a few boots, but they can be pretty torch specific. Seen them at MF and DX as well.

i use snap ring pliers to remove the pills/rings on my lights. works well.

I just used thin needlenose pliers and I’ve had no problem.
Most of the DX bags of rubber boots that I’ve gotten are all one size. They fit many but not all lights. They generally has a little stub on the inside of the boot that you may need to trim for certain switches.
I doubt if you can shorten the boot however since the distance between it and the switch it activates is fixed.
