BOB have almost exactly the same variety of products, prices are identical, descriptions are identical, pictures clearly taken from DX.
Are they the same dealer or is it just plagiarism?
LOL, I don't think plagiarism is an issue in China.
If it looks like, smells like and tastes like........ I've seen DX photos on other sites too, I just figured it was all DX, just like ebay sellers that have 20 member names, so they can sell against themselves and drop the ones that get too many negative feedbacks.
Would be good to know so that those who have decided to completely avoid DX can continue to do so.
They may have different CS teams in any case, since I made a small test order in BOB which didn't ship for about a week and they answered my mails and refunded quickly (the supplier didn't have it in stock).
+1, But I don’t know if you could find out for sure. I remember when KD started and it was a deal where a DX guy left and started KD, but they still shared some stuff and I wonder if they all don’t, to some extent. Heck, it looks like a lot of them use the DX website software, who knows or who would really tell the truth about it? It wouldn’t benefit them to tell us.
IDK, for the small fraction of people on here that do still buy a lot of lights it probably would benefit them, people would use them because they AREN’T affiliated with DX, lol.

Small world. Never heard of BOB until yesterday. When looking for lifepo4 batteries. Ended up ordering four for an experiment from BOB.
I have ordered stuff on BOB that wasn't available on DX and got it in must faster than DX. I thought at one point BOB was the wholesale site for DX, but I may be wrong.
I agree, but I don’t like it. Business ethics in China are pretty much nonexistant, and that bothers me.

On the bottom right of every DX page it tells you who the vendor is and from which comapny it's supplied so I'd assume if you want to sell ...X flashlight you're probably going to source stuff from lots of the same people .

As far as I understood the principle of DX & Co... the large quantity sellers can directly upload their new products to sites like DX and Co. This is why the original large quantity sellers are mentioned in the lower right corner. This is probably also why we get those atrocious descriptions and mistakes are nearly never corrected. So in reality DX isn't really "one shop" as many think ... but more like a moderated amazon marketplace with a unified customer service. In an "ideal" case no DX personal is ever involved in putting up a product. This is probably also the reason we get those horrible shipping times from DX.... they split their automatism in 2 shops (dealextreme.com/DX.com) and in 3-4 warehouses... if something goes wrong they have to manually correct it... and they probably don't have the human capacities for that. They simply underestimated the problems that are involved in such a switch. I won't be buying from DX in the next 2-3 months... at least not time critical or expensive stuff... things hopefully will be back to normal shipping times, when dealextreme.com is fully switched off and DX.com is the only site where you can order from.

They wanted to send a substitute battery in place. A li-ion 18650 3800ma..come on like real capacity LOL . An Ultrafire note spelling on pic below "Uitraflre" can't even spell, POS clone crap WTF? I ordered a LIFEPO4 not a Li-ion battery. At least offer a decent battery or just refund my money if they can't make it happen. Does BOB step up to the plate?
Wrote and told them this was NOT acceptable.
I requested these as a replacement. Will post results.
