TM11 compatibility with selected 3100 Panasonics

Does anybody know by chance or through some experience or knowledge if these batteries

http://www.buyincoins.com/details/new-panasonic-18650-ncr18650-rechargeable-battery-3100mah-with-pcb-protective-gg-product-12513.html

would be compatible with the Tiny Monster TM11 v1.16?

TM11 works with any protected batteries

I read quite a lot of posts / reviews where it was mentioned that the thing is not easy what length it accepts but maybe that was about older versions.

OT but I don't get any answers from the main post -https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/7453

Which one of these 2 batteries are better (18650, Sony 2600 or Sanyo 2600)?

Are those protected?? you may have difficulty getting the light to work with anything outside the 67-69mm height range. Also, true flat-top cells (where the platic wrapping is higher than the contact button, as on many of the higher capacity AW cells) will definitely not work in the light.

Oh, my question conc. those batteries is NOT connected to the TM11. I'm sorry, that info got lost with the copy and paste process. Sorry for making a mess.

I just want to know which brand is better. Both cells are protected.

So I'm going to order 8 of those 3100s from the original post for my uncle's TM11 and mine. Hope they won't let me down. I just wanted to make sure I'm not making a mistake.

The cheaper ones, the 2600s I want to get some for giving them as presents to family along with lights. I don't like the Trustfire flames anymore, so I'm switching to Japanese quality.

Huh? v1.16 Really????

No it doesn't, with Xtar's the light will barely screw in far enough to make contact; nor will Soshines.

thats what I think too.pretty sure the latest is v1.12.If its really 68mm,chances are these will work. But I can't confirm this yet.Xtar 2600mah (close to70mm) works for me but got to forcefully tightened it so not adviseable. AW 3100 works for me as well. But a few guys reported having problems with AW batteries in CPF.These panasonic battery are next on my list. Focalprice will be slightly cheaper if you buy four.

how to distinguish whether the unit is v1.16 or not ?

Unscrew the battery holder/body of the TM11 and its printed on the positive contact side of the head assembly.

1st version v1.10

2nd version v1.11

3rd(latest) v1.12

v1.16???

I found that Trustfire 2400 flames ones work perfectly. I also measured 2* CR123A put together, since the light is also designed for those too. I got a measurement of 68.25mm.............guess what? Trustfire 2400 flames measures 68.24mm..........so they are PERFECT. Yes I did get the Xtars to work, sort of, but you have to screw the light together way too hard to make it work and I don't think that is good to do; so I'm not using those for the TM11's anymore.

This all makes sense now, because the TM11 is designed for CR123A's and it never dawned on me before what the total size of 2 of them would be. So after that thought came to me, I measured them; I have many different brand 18650's, so from there I just needed to see which ones measured up the best and the winner was those Trustfires; those are now what I use in the TM11 :)

Anzycpethian, I don't know if they will, but my Skyray KING takes my new Redilast 3100 button tops with ease. Perhaps you can look up the exact size of the Redilast batteries to see if there is a length difference between them.

The SkyRay KING uses regular coil springs, whereas the TM11 uses a leaf type and it has much less tolerance range to it, thus it can't take a wide range of battery lengths and is limited a lot more.

OK, so I checked and it's (if course)

V 1.12-1111

Now conc. the cells I'm going to check out focalprice soon. BIC is unaccessible right now so I can't compare prices but there I get extra minus 8% off so I guess it will be cheaper still at BIC.

Here's the link for the focalprice 3100s for us lazy people^^

I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR POSTS AND HELP!!! I really appreciate it!

The 2900mAh Panasonic's on FP provide more mAh for the $, just saying. :P

(94% of the capacity for 82% of the price)

OK, so BIC is online now and FB is really cheaper conc. the cells, even considering the 8% discount on BIC. I'm going to order from there.

Thanks, Shadowww, for the recommendation. I think I'm gonna try those too but I like the maximum capacity available for the TM11.

theres a thread here thats has a picture of the panasonic 3100 (green) from focalprice comparing the height to the trustfire 2400 with a poker card and they looks quite a bit longer than the trustfire. Now i doubt these are 68mm.definitely longer.cant seem to find anyonr taken the exact measurement. really no idea will it be a good fit or even work with tm11.
