wait for a new moon for those ;) Last night was so clear the full moon seemed like a street light on my back yard!
Is it a camera effect or it does really makes such a blue-purple ring around the hotspot? If not the camera, is it maybe something related to the aspheric lens?
Just curious 'cause I've never had an aspheric and still debating if I should try one or not, and that DBS sure has an appeal 
That's how it look to the eyes as well.
some of my (lower quality) aspheric lenses will turn the whole beam of a neutral white emitter into purple. Not very pleasant, imo, but I like what they do for throw so I try to ignore it lol
I think it is an aberration of the lens on the edge what makes it look purple, nothing to worry while it throws that good.
