the SHADOW knows !

Hey there.. Have y'all seen the new SHADOW from Intl Outdoor Store here:

http://www.intl-outdoor.com/shadow-tc300-xml-800lm-218650-flashlight-p-364.html

It's very similar to my Jetbeam BC40 in size and form (except it's got 3 modes), but what the heck, I just pulled the trigger on this one. According to Foy, the other SHADOWS (which he reviewed) rate highly on the performance/fit/finish scale, so I thought I'd like to have one too. And I think it's MUCH nicer looking than the Jetbeam. Well, I hope this one be a winner.

Hi Bob. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on this light when you recieve it.

I'd love this light too. But my shadow TC6 is really hot(at high mode) so that i'm considering to buy this

I was just informed yesterday that my item was shipped . That means it should be in my hands (hopefully) in about 8-10 working days.

I will do a comparison between the TC300 and my BC40. Btw, I''m not very technically savvy so it'll just be a simple one, with maybe a few beamshot images. I'll leave the tech-heavy reviews to the experts.

I like the clean lines .

Make sure to check the temperature at high mode. It is really really nice, i will take one if it is not to hot after 30'

30 minutes? I don't plan to run it flat-out for 30 minutes at a time. All this talk about CREE emitters lasting 50,000 hours I don't quite believe. I generally never run my lights for more than 10-15 minutes at full power.

Yes, I think so too. It makes my Jetbeam BC40 look positively clunky

I think 30' is minimun time when u really need lights. 10-15' is to short, just for see or show flashlight. My Balder BD-4 run 1h50' without hot, just a little warm

Welcome to BLF, phoneix!

Hi. I got my Shadow TC300 yesterday. All I can say is, I'm very disappointed. I will be posting a mini-review of sorts (I'm not technically savvy) soon.

Bottom line is, don't waste your time on this flashlight (like I have done)

What's the quick and dirty down low, BanglaBob? This is the first less than stellar thing I've heard about a Shadow light.

So the BC40 is better than this light in your opinion?

Ok. Very quickly...

  • BC 40 is much, much brighter
  • Even my single 18650 Scorpion V2 is brighter
  • gets really hot after 15 mins use on high
  • memory mode works only if you've had it on for more than 4 secs. (like my Jetbeam PA01), otherwise it comes on in the next mode
