HELP! nanjg problem

Ok soooo I was building a triple xpg drop in last night for my pentagonlight l2 and I'm using the shiningbeam 2.8a driver.I cannot get it to change modes(comes 3 mode)it has just one mode and if I had to guess I'd say it's 30% brightness all the time.I'm wondering if this driver is shot, since I have never had a problem with these,EVER.I checked solder points too over and over so if anyone has a clue as to what I can do or if this has ever happened to anyone.Oh BTW,I would post pics but my digital camera decided to do a swan dive on my kitchen floor.

Make sure that LED - is not shorted to the ground ring. I'm an excellent solderer, and it's happened to me a few times.

Hmmmm I didn’t check that,thanks I’ll try that later when I got a minute,never crossed my mind.

I have done it myself plenty. That is the most likely culprit. A reflector short is another possibility but I'm going with the ground ring short.

thanks guys I will check it soon,BTW no reflector on it,carclo triple narrow optics.

well, checked all solder points and nothing unusual negative was not grounded and now turning it on,it has a flicker to it even with a new battery so I gave up on it.I ended up using an extra 3a driver and it worked flawlessly. That l2 is now a serious flood beast but anyhow thanks for all the input and help.
