2x18650 with high CRI?

Ugh!! OK the purist in me is not gelling with the Convoy L2 being a native 26650 flashlight and not 18650. I don’t want extra width that I’m not using. If I have extra width, I’d rather buy a Nitecore EC4GTS instead, but it doesn’t have the LED’s I want.

Does Convoy make an extended length C8+ ?

For a thrower, I wouldn’t be so concerned about getting CRI. Tint matters much more with close proximity illumination. For throwers, the purpose is to illuminate either with tight hotspot or more even spill with strong brightness to locate or inspect objects. Have you thought about maybe getting the EC4GT? It was replaced by the EC4GTS but is a tremendous value now (Illumn has it for $35).

I ordered the Convoy already but for the price I may get the older EC4GT as well. It's definitely a profile I like. I don't see it on their site. Link?

I was doing a beam comparison outdoors with the EA4 & EC4GT, and the EC4GT does throw further. Its also easier to hold and certainly pocket if you’re not using a holster.
