Soshine is interesting company. They were never famous for anything, but they seem to deliver quite good product. I have a Soshine Ni-Mh charger, that I bought from DX in 2008 (the days where DX and Kai were most popular chinese webshops) it works like a charm. After 9 years of regular use, it’s still going strong and I prefer to use it over the new hybrid ones…

As far as I know, China Post Registered mail does not allow shipping Li-ion batteries to my country, I hope its just a ‘placeholder’ tracking number and the real package is already in transit…

Did you test when the 14500 is just freshly-charged off the charger?
Also, was the Turbo setting is at max?
Comparing mine, using a PKCell ICR14500 (freshly charged from charger); these are using a Mastech MS8229 multimeter to measure tail-cap current:
UT01 (neutral white):
‘high’ setting: 1.38A (factory default; likely not the ‘highest’ program setting)
UT01 (cool white):
‘high’ setting: 1.66A (programmed to “highest” setting)

Gearbest is now reporting that they can not ship these to the US.

I can’t say. It didn’t say “Can’t ship to Hawaii”. I read this thread when it first opened and the listing stated there was an extra charge ($2.99?) but would let me purchase. Should have bought it then.
