AA Tailcap Current of 2.62A??? Really?

Thanks Moto for the data. Now I know I'm not the only one with a high-current campingsurvivals SK68. Glad to hear it easily ran for over an hour! I was concerned it wouldn't last long at all at that current! Was that hour long test run on alkalines or NiMh's?

Alkaline. I only have Alkaline and 14500

I should have mentioned above, light output on all lights had diminished after an hour, but there was not discernible difference in output between the 3 lights.

Hour long test was on alkaline. I have left them on for 3 hours before on AA alkaline and they had not shut off, but light after 1.5-2 hours was not very usable.

On trustfire protected flame 14500 I tested the tomtop and the silver sk-68 and the protection circuit kicked in and shut the lights off on both right around 40 minutes.
