I measured 38 uA parasitic drain, which is pretty low. So maybe Pete above is correct - that voltage drop is normal for this drain, or yours has a higher drain, or that yellow 18650 is not so good? Maybe you can look at a discharge curve and see how many amps it would take for that voltage drop. Voltage drop is not linear so have to look at 4.16 down to 4.07.
Both NW and CW versions of the Wowtac A2S headlamp are $23.99 (compared to the normal 29.99 price), which was awesome to find since Iāve been eyeing this model for a while now.
Banggood has the Astrolux FT03 SST40-W for 33.99 US right now. If you donāt have one, you need one. Best thrower bang for the buck everā¦. Sorry, I missed seeing the word Amazon when I posted this, but I am going to just let it stay because it is a good deal.
I ordered 2 at that price, so when I finally receive them a month or 2 from now, it will be a good day. I am convinced they use very old runners on land, and swimmers in the water. That is the same for all shipments from China though. It is not a service for the impatient. I often even forget about the order by the time it gets here, but the savings on items are just too great at times in spite of the turtle shipping speed. By the way, that Astrolux light can more than match lights that cost 3 times as much. I might even get brave and de-dome one of them.
High quality cells like Samsung 25r or 30q will hold voltage better than less expensive cells. All will self discharge some though. I never really feel comfortable if I do not really know what cell is really under a wrapā¦especially for vaping or headlights. I also prefer charging the batteries in high quality chargers. I really do not know how they get away with the extreme exaggeration they put on some battery wraps considering the danger. I appreciate a company that does not seem to inflate the mah and current ratings of their batteries.
It depends on the way I will use the light whether or not I like a magnetā¦some like the nicron n7 with the swivel head, are great for using under the hood of a car. For an EDC light I agree with not liking the magnet, but when you have a lot of lights to choose from every day, a few with magnets are OK.
Personally, I donāt think low is 65lm. Maybe on a fresh out of the package alkaleak or something, butā¦
No AAA eneloops, no fresh AAAs, as I typically just burn down alkaleaks that are already losing their oomf on mumās craplights, but mine looks like 10lm on low and maybe 65lm on high. Frankly, thatās all I wanted.
Anyone wanna throw a coupla new alkies at me and Iāll put it to a better test. As it is, I only get hand-me-downs.
Yeah, itās odd. All the AAA lights I got, thatās all I use āem for.
While weāre on deals, anyone whoās interested, czech out MPOW earmuffs on vipon. I got a set of H17s and saw an ad for H18s, down to 30 from 50. āNo vouchers, only a reduced priceā that was supposta be 25, but I picked āem up for 30. Then that disappeared and they were back up to 50, then still showing 25 but price on Amazon was still 50, buncha weird things going on from one day to the next day.
Cheapers ones (forgot which) were 13.50 with a vipon code.
Soā¦ just keep viponning and see if thereās a deal for that day. By the time Iād post anything, it wouldāve changed.
