I might even take to carrying an F2 or that 2×AA LuxPro, then. And always keep the charger in my bag. :laughing:

Eg, mum was given (no, not by me, as I know better) a handheld “utility light”-looking COB light that takes 4 AAs. Has an angry little reflector light on the side, and you gotta flick through like 8 modes just to turn the damned thing off. Okay, whatever.
So I keep changing AAs when she grexes that it’s too dim, etc.
Last time? Spring was completely eaten away. I mean completely. Nothing but a brown smear in the area where the spring was. :person_facepalming:
And no remaining salt-block, either, so all the still-liquid ick probably oozed its way down into the innards like The Blob™ and did its thing in there, too.

Unnerving, but a Tenavolt crapped out last night in my E03. Was looking for stuff, had it actually on high for quite a while, shut it off and put it down to do something, 30sec later I go to use it, and it doesn’t even turn on.
Swapped in my B cell and let the A cell charge, which it did rather quickly. Think I’m going to keep that “system” of A/B cells and just swap ’em back’n’forth.
So… just in case anyone uses them in AA lights, be aware.
I checked this in the am and it was not going. However, it said that it would be available in 10 hours and it had a countdown thinggy. Just nabbed it at $114 2 min ago. Soooo, it’s going again- for now, once those coupons are gone, you’ll have to check in until they are available again.
Well got this in the UK 21 September,flat as a pancake, fully charged it showed just about 1500mah went in,at 5 volts, today 15 October flat as Holland with Zero use?
I was just browsing the vipon adds for the usual junk I purchase needlessly, when my girlfriend looked over my shoulder and said, “Wwwwwwwait a second! What the hell was that? Back up!”
She saw this thing… which gave us both a good laugh.
Just today- power’s been out for 8 hours and i plugged my dsl router in the AC outlet of the rockpals and was able to get online and do some work with my laptop. Also plan on taking it to the hunting camp this year- everyone seems to need to charge a device (phone, tablet, bluetooth speakers) over the weekend. During hurricane season (not so much this year-yet) i’m sure it’ll come in handy. Now i’ll charge my laptop since the power is still out.
