Amutorch AX3

Yes it’s removable!

I really like it with the dual reflectors, and overall modability (is that a word?), compact size, etc. Yes, the switch protrudes - good thing and bad thing: good in easy to locate by feel. I'd say moderate activation - not soft, not hard. The hard plastic switch cover is kind of different but has a good solid feel to it, least to my liking, but I'm not a fan of the wishy/washy feel like some even metal switches have.

Wish it had an AUX led though in the switch, by the switch, or in in the head. The machining doesn't lend itself to a light pipe with the moderate fins, but you could probably flatten out a surface to mount one with the right skill and tools.

I was thinking I’m gonna do a AUX LED board here soon. Lexel / Fireflies style…

Just can’t leave it alone can you??

Review vid on the AX3 just posted here, shows outdoor usage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uh670u5-L9w&feature=push-sd&attr_tag=paBWnNLGO8UYHrgB%3A6

My modded version measured on a VTC5D @4.19V: 2148 lumens (ANSI/maukka calibrated) at start, 9.3 amps at the tail, using a BeCu tail spring, no bypass.

Also 16 kcd measured, taken at 5 meters.
