One of my Astrolux FT03s arrived “well protected” inside a box yet it still had three spots on its head where the green anodizing had been chipped or scratched off.
Man that’s a downer.
I guess best option now is maybe get those car chip paint pens and touch up the chips on the flashlight? Those pens have a wide assortment of colors.
Received the Sofirn SC31B SST20 that I ordered a while back. It’s about a quarter inch shorter than a Sofirn SP32A V2, and the same diameter, if that helps give you an idea of its size.
I am really happy with it. It has four brightness levels, that I find well spaced. There is also a strobe mode just two quick clicks away. Tail stands. Nice sized button that is relatively easy to locate, especially if you use the pocket clip as a guide. Super simple UI; ramping steps.
Went for a walk tonight and found the beam to be a beautiful, cool white with a really good beam shape. It is a good walking light because of the nice spill, and good throw. I wish I had bought two at the price I paid ($14.94 delivered).
