Automotive 4 x XM-L2 led headlight. H4 bulb etc. Mounted on some type of copper alloy?

Interesting design here with passive cooling. The heatsink is a “copper belt”. Would rather this over a fan that has no chance of lasting years.

I thought most cars nowadays come with LED headlights.

BMW has a technology called Laserlight and in Europe the headlights are quite bright - so much so that they’ve designed a system that cuts the power when it detects an oncoming car. Not regular LED, but very bright and BMW corporate thinks they’re okay.

I know all the “halo” lights on Kias and Audis are all LED, and I think most all cars as well. So they’ve designed something that can last even in summer heat.

Anything sold on a new car will need to pass approval. These are all retrofits that we are talking about so not legal at all.
