Last time I got stung by a bee was at least 55 years ago when I stepped on one barefoot. BTW, I love honey in tea, and on my oatmeal.

Yep. I grew up in East Coast states. Very familiar.
We have them in California too. Innocent looking little hole in the ground, til they start coming out.

We don’t have ground wasps but I think I would place the chickens with their pen on top of a nest sobthey can eat them lol

My father started his bee business after his army retirement several years ago, yet he does that the old way - high in the mountain without any technology at all, only several perimeter defence grids.

yet he has extremely good results, and all his clients are in France: the final product is somekind spendy, like 50 euros for a kilo yet i have never tested that kind of honey before….it tastes like a flower garden mixed with …vanilla and oak.
