Budget Bushcraft Review and Test: Schrade SCHF51(M) and SCHF52(M). Jokes, Batoning, and Tree Limb Wrasslin.

I wish the Rubber composite handles didn’t look so lousy ( just my opinion ). These are a good deal but I can’t get past the grips. The micarta scales are nice but it raises the price to high for a China knife. YMMV. Maybe schrade will update the grips on the base knives.

I will agree they look a bit weird. But they feel nice in my hand. Schrade just sent me two new knives, that are basically smaller versions of the kvives reviewed here… like a 4 1/3 inch blade and a 3.5-ish inch blade, and the handle design is basically the same. They are slated to be released in February, so I wouldn’t hold my breath for them updating the handles in the near future.

Does anyone knows what is the grit level of diamond sharpening stone that comes with this schf52 model? Thanks
