Which Variac are you comparing on Ebay? they have one on the site I provided for $54 and one for $104/ both with free shipping
This one. Actually, it’s not exactly the same cosmetically.Slight differences. Probably made by the same Chinese company. Oh yeah, it’s not $25 cheaper, it’s $17.
It does look pretty much the same though.
I just have a mental hang up personally about buying off Ebay or Amazon most of the time and tend to stick with the sources I have used before and trust…….lol
I understand. I’ve had pretty good luck buying from ebay. I make it a habit keep my purchases below $100 just in case. BTW, I saved the electronics store in my favorites. The do have alot of cool stuff. Thanks for the link

Whichever you decide I would spend a few extra bucks and get something to be sure the temp settings are accurate.
I think some of them are the blue and yellow color to appear more like the models they were copied from. But as long as they get the job done who cares..
