CLOSED groupbuy: Wuben A21 (June 10 to 27 2018)

Mine got delivered today when I was out walking the dog  On charge now.

Iā€™m really starting to like the 21700 form factor of this light. Itā€™s kind of a sweet spot between 18650 and 26650. Iā€™ve always been a big fan of 26650 lights. But after using this a little bit Iā€™m starting to see some advantages to the smaller size. Itā€™s smaller and therefore lighter, but still feels substantial, but not big by any means, whereas now in comparison a 26650 light feels kinda big and bulky. And if you believe the battery specs, you donā€™t lose a ridiculous amount of battery life with the smaller cell. Iā€™m loving my new toy!

Brief play with mine last night until I got told to stop  very bright and I did not realise that it had ramping! Shows how much attention I pay. I have three other 21700 batteries and they all fit and work. It does get very hot on full power.

Good build quality and a nice switch. I have only taken out the flashlight from the box as I have a usb-C cable in my charger. I like the NW tint.

Got to play with the ramping for the first time last night. Itā€™s a little on the slow side, but in return you get almost infinite increments of brightness. There are no discernible ā€œstepsā€ while ramping. Itā€™s a really smooth transition from dim to bright and vice versa. So I can live with it being a little slow if the result is such smooth ramping. One more thing to like about this great little light.

yes - i also like it a lot!

BTW
have you guys seen that banggood made a b*d*ss deal for the (CW only) ? ;)

and i found a store who has the NW where i get the groupbuy price as well :D

Got my light today, I like it even more in person. Nice beam, tint shift isnā€™t a huge issue, fits great into my hand. But with every new light that I get that has mode memory, I realize again how I really donā€™t like that :expressionless:

Build quality is really nice, only the O-ring wasnā€™t lubed and apparently twisted out while they screwed on the tailcap, not a huge issue though, just put some lube on and carefully screwed on the tailcap.

I have a question. I received my a21 a few minutes ago. I noticed the threads on the body tube where the tail cap screws on has anodizing chipped off in at least 10 spots. They are all small chips just showing bare aluminum, is this anything to worry about or just what happens over time to threads sometimes?

can you mail me some pictures?

I forward to Wuben

I understand this light has onboard charging, just curious if anyone has tried charging the protected Wuben 21700 cell in a standalone charger. I could not get it to fit in my Opus, Lii-500, or Nitecore D4?. Anyone found a charger it fits in?

Wonā€™t fit in my xtar Dragon vp4 plus.

100% fits into the charger ADEASKA SQ4. Tested. Itā€™s tight, but it fits.

also no fit in the SkyRC MC3000

easy fit in nitecore LC10 ;)
