Well, when US withdraws its soldiers from all fucking sides of the world (and that will happen really soon), then I wont be so "absorbed" with USA. Yes you quite missed the point, again. Which other coutnries outs its nose in every orifice of the world, more often than not with diastrous conseuqences, and which other country established its military bases all over the world, like some damn ROman Empire, and than you say much of the world is overly absorbed with US? Nice.

Oh man Im tired of explaining it to you but practically every sentence from your post is another missed point. And Im aware that it is probably totally useless because its hard to explain something to someone who is ver closed, ie. conditioned, or indoctrinated.

Are you aware of the fact that you are on itnernational forum (thats at least my understanding) and that not all of us are Americans?? Well than, when speaking with international crowd you would not obviously use terms which are specific only to your country and expect that others will understand . That shows only rudeness and ignorance and self-centredness, which is not news for me in this specific case, and its more irritating because policy of your country is similar, and it affects, negatively, whole world, for a long time now. (so, you see, movies were never on my mind, everybody can watch what he wants, but everyone cant escape from the consequences of dumb acts of mofos you elect as your presidents and their administration, because they have worldwide repercussions. Thats just one thing)

Bottom line is, if you dont see fit that it is polite and knowledable to use international terms in international company - well than, thats OK with me, but Ill than name that phenomenon by its correct name if I feel like it.

I don’t personally disagree with you (in part) regarding the military policy. Keep in mind that we are generally not where we are not wanted. South Korea should be able to take care of themselves. Why we have bases in Germany I don’t know. The armed forces of Europe certainly can’t actually take care of themselves however if the need actually arose.



I don’t think we can afford to be the policeman of the world. Until our national debt is paid way down I don’t think we can afford to do much of anything.



It’s amazing that the U.S. finally had to get involved in Kosovo. The rest of Europe didn’t seem to care. I’m sure U.S. help was appreciated in W.W.II.
If you think someone referring to their local time zone in the way they generally use it is impolite it’s ironic that your response is anything but polite.

Again you missed the point. Every third topic I stumble on some self-centred American who thinks and acts as if there is no world except America, so why not joke about it and educate a little :) So, no, its not envy - i know its very hard to believe that, especially if you are totally self centered, hahah. Its more a matter of small irritation. Its not also a matter weather some country is big are small. India, Australia, China, Russia are all big coutries, but people from there in general never act like that, and also rarely you have people who have means but are so uneducated about the world outside their country. We understand that there is a GMT. It’s used where necessary but not in everyday situations as it makes no sense for us to use it within out country. It’s not very descriptive.

Most of what I’ve studied in school had to do the international matters. It’s not the average person’s fault that movies from Hollywood are affecting cultures all over the world. Don’t go to those movies if you don’t like them. I rarely see them myself.



If you don’t like American TV shows if they are available on some cable channel in your area…don’t watch them.



Don’t obsess over the American portion of the news. I don’t obsess over the Croatian news although I do read the world news first generally.



Basically, you are making an ass of yourself.

There is no average American. I’m not particularly “special”. His comments are getting annoying (which is his intent). Replace “American” with whatever country you or anyone else comes from and you might find it more annoying as well (or maybe not…we are all different which is my point).

BTW its nice weather here in Bjelovarsko bilogorska and KOprivničko Križevačka Županija (you must know about what Im speaking about, no. I suppose you do, like every Croatian full of himself). Its nice time of the da too. Im going to drink my Franck JUbilar and then I'll probabl go to KUdumija Trade to buy some sweets for children and than to my friend who makes stew out of young boar right now. I hope it'll be fanj spicy

YOu probably all know where is KOprivničko krizevacka zupanija, what time is here now, what is KUdumija Trade, where is Paljevine, no? I would be very surprised if you dont, and I'll act as you do. Put any other country here includig Croatia and such thinking and acting (Im the onl one in the world) would be impossible, and with Americans its normal you have that all the time - and it is annoying. (exception be praised). Who knows how much abroad travels average American in comparison to average Euroean. That and education and TV and nationpersonality are part of the reason.

And when you try to politel imply on thet, suggest... oh my... than its not good.

Is not Croatia part of the former Soviet Union empire? Don't worry about the USA we can't afford to be in Europe much longer, and most of us dont want to be there. Never confuse government policy with the people who live here. Mountain time is the local term used here for the time zone between pacific and central. GMT is not well known here outside of Ham Radio operators and the Military.. peace out brother. Frankly I am more upset my DX cupon did not work and forced me to cancel on principal

Hey Nitelight, the DX coupon was never supposed to be site wide. The title in this thread is a mistake. The coupon is just for those items on the linked page.



I did as you did however and checked it out just to be sure and then decided if I wasn’t going to get a discount I didn’t really need another light. Especially one that I would have to wait so long for.



I actually hope DX just continues to keep their prices low and doesn’t get on board the DinoDirect type of coupon madness
